Capture the Rapture

August 11, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE------

The Lynn Public Library will be holding a fundraiser Sunday, September 28 from 3 until 7 pm.  There will be two special highlights to this event.

The Friends of the Library have had many of the Library’s paintings restored, and they will be hung and ready for review by the public.  Artists range from Lynn Beach painter Charles Woodbury, to Hudson River Valley painter George Inness, to Renaissance painter Carlo Cignani.  Light refreshments will be served as patrons view this artwork.

The attendees will then be invited to gather into the Reading Room for an Evening of Metaphysical Messages brought by the Medium Linnea.  Linnea is well known throughout New England for her outstanding readings in clairaudience, precognition and retrocognition.  She is a regular guest on radio station WATD 95.9 once a month, and has taught at Salem State College as well.

Lynn history buffs will remember that Lynn was a center for Spiritualism in the nineteenth century.  The Library is continuing this tradition with the appearance by Linnea, whose website is http://www.linneastar.com.  Patrons are invited to read the testimonials of those who have witnessed her work.

She will be speaking from 4 until 7 pm, and invites participants to bring mementos of lost loved ones.

Tickets to this event are $15 each.  Questions should be directed to the Library at either 781-595-0567 or lynnq@noblenet.org.  Tickets can be purchased at the Library during regular business hours, or can be mailed with a $1.00 shipping and handling charge, or can be purchased at the door.  The library will be closed to all other business.
